My name is Xu Nuo. I'm from Henan Province.
During the past four years, I have been studying in the Communication University of China, majoring in Communication. And now I’m applying for the Master of Communication.
So, as you can see, communication is the center of my academic life. It’s not only a subject, but also an inspiration to me.

When I was a young boy, I started watching news like xinwen lianbo. In my high school, I used to read the China Youth Daily and Southern Weekly. I learnt a lot of from them.,
In the university, I found that my true interest is the general communication study. It connects sociology，psychology，politics and so on.It provide me with both knowledge and curiosity, and helps me to understand our society, to know people’s life, to seek truths about the media.
(这个从新闻到传播的转换有点生硬，后面的一个小排比也不太符合英语表达习惯，但是时间所限，我就没有再调整，这段主要是体现自己对传播学的认识，是why you 与why me 的结合。需要注意的是，本科学习的经历，如果有很好的项目或者获奖可以说一说，不然的话还是更多地从成长性上展开。我本科得的奖都挺水，实在不好意思拿出来糊弄老师，于是作罢。另外，你的GPA、平均分这些，如果不是格外突出的话，还是别提了，复试材料里面都有，老师想听你说的肯定还是材料里面没有的东西。)

After careful consideration, I chose your honorable school of journalism and communication of Pecking University. The university and school are both one of the best in china. I hold the belief that your prestige school will render me best education and growth.

I’m quite interested in the internet politics, empowerment and culture study. Given opportunity, I’d like to study, write papers and translate books on these topics.

After my graduation, I would like to seek for a doctor’s degree and do research as my job.
I’m fascinated with history and literature, and just finished reading the Collapse of the Heavenly Dynasty, written by Mao Haijian and Bailuyuan, by Chen Zhongshi. As for documentaries, I prefer those made by BBC , such as the World at War，Planet Earth，and A History of Britain. They brought splendid scenery and deep thoughts to me, and greatly broad my horizon.
